The Variety Foundation has donated a $1,500 grant to Jessie's Place, a Children's Advocacy Center located in Lecanto, Florida in Citrus County. Variety's grant was matched by the Black Diamond Foundation Inc for a total donation of $3,000. The funds will go towards the center's thriving Therapy Program.
The Therapy Program is available to kids throughout their childhood so they can continue to develop their coping skills as they grow and mature. The program provides therapy services to approximately 80 clients per week. Mitigating even one Adverse Childhood Experience corresponds directly to a decrease in risk for poor health and economic outcomes.
