ST JOE’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL NAMES ECMO ROOM IN HONOR OF VARIETY AS A RESULT OF $100,000 PLEDGE

Variety of Florida in the past has donated an ECMO unit room used for premature babies to the St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, located in Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Variety of Florida, the room will be dedicated in honor of the late, James Sirna.

Jim, founder of West Palm Wines, a wine store located in Ybor City-Tampa (now known as Chateau Cellars) was a friend of St. Joseph's Hospital and helped introduce Variety of Florida to them. He helped sponsor many wine tastings for Variety of Florida and from the proceeds of these events, Variety has donated over $25,000 to St. Joseph Children's Hospital in the past. The ECMO unit room has come about as a result of a new $100,000 pledge to the hospital. Some of the funds will be utilize to buy the latest medical lasers and new evolving technology...

On Saturday, January 20, 2024 - St. Joseph's Hospital staff members hosted a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) presentation and in attendance were several of Variety of Florida's board members including Variety's President, Marshall Cohn and Fundraiser Director, Richard Goldstein.

Along with a few speeches, the presentation included a tour of the NICU, Variety's check donation, the unveiling of Jim Sirna's plaque and a small lunch gathering...

The presentation was followed by a reception at Chateau Cellars and Beaune's Wine Bar located at 2009 North 22nd Street, Tampa, Florida 33605.
