When children are born with an illness or disability that will require surgery or a lifetime of therapy, the emotional pain the family goes through can be unimaginable at first. Fortunately organizations like Easter Seals has set its mission to help those with special needs lead a fulfilled life. Variety-The Children’s Charity of Florida is also contributing by providing the connections and equipment to make a difference in the lives of children. One such connection is with Epic Theatres. Thanks to the generosity of Epic Theatres, a special adaptive bike was donated. The bike will help those with mobility challenges who receive therapy at the Easter Seals of Volusia and Flagler Counties.
The presentation held, in the lobby of the Epic Theatre in Deltona was attended by Variety board members, supporters, and friends. The Vice President of Epic Theatres, Clint DeMarsh will make the donation in memory of his parents. The DeMarsh family has been in the theater business for generations and is a supporter of Variety’s initiatives.
Variety’s International President, Peter Drummond, visiting the Florida tent from New Zealand was also on hand for the presentation. Drummond has served the charity in New Zealand for twenty years chairing, organizing and contributing to the 12 million dollars raised in New Zealand for children through charitable activities.
